The Intelligence Community Information Sharing Data Standards Coordination Activity serves to facilitate the establishment and promulgation of common information sharing data standards. The Intelligence Community Information Sharing Data Standards Coordination Activity streamlines the Intelligence Community's data standards governance function into a single, unified, and agile process.


This important information sharing initiative provides a forum for all parties involved in the functional or technical aspects of intelligence production, sharing, discovery, and consumption to:


  • Identify information sharing data standardization needs
  • Discuss the form and function of data standards in addressing the needs
  • Communicate with affected parties and establish collaboration opportunities
  • Identify those who can contribute to the establishment of data standards
  • Select or develop, document, test, and promulgate data standards
  • Address policy guidance for the incorporation of approved data standards into the enterprise
  • Contribute to enterprise-wide enablement initiatives
  • Share lessons learned and best practices
