OPERATIONAL STRUCTURE

The IC CAE Program is divided into four key components, each having individualized features to help guide their IC CAE Program participation:

Pre-College/High School Outreach

Bullet Increase awareness of students to the IC and IC Careers
Bullet Increase the pool of students considering IC careers
Bullet Serve as a recruitment tool for outstanding students for the institution and its CAE Program
Bullet World Languages

University/College

Bullet Develop an IC CAE Program curriculum
Bullet Support faculty participation through sabbaticals, research and related activities
Bullet Award at least ten students study abroad scholarships
Bullet Sponsor student attendance at local and national IC colloquia, conferences and seminars

Infrastructure

Bullet Support dedicated IC CAE faculty and administrators
Bullet Ensure that books, magazine and materials about IC agencies are readily available
Bullet Encourage student faculty participation in IC internships, sabbaticals and related programs

IC CAE Relationship

Bullet Provide guidelines and selection criteria for application to the program
Bullet Provide participating institutions with curriculum development assistance
Bullet Provide participating institutions with priority status for internships, co-ops and scholarships
Bullet Promote IC-wide sabbaticals for program faculty
Bullet Support local and regional IC colloquia
Bullet Support universities' CAE pre-college outreach efforts

Accountability is woven into and across all components of the IC CAE Program.
