National Counterproliferation Center
Who We Are
One of the ODNI's three national centers, the National Counterproliferation Center (NCPC) was founded on November 21, 2005 to help the United States counter the threats caused by the proliferation of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear weapons. The majority of the NCPC staff are detailees from Intelligence Community agencies, as well as the Department of Defense, and the Department of Energy’s National Laboratories.
NCPC has seven directorates, each lead by a Deputy Director: Global Biological Threat; Intelligence Integration; Interdiction & Networks; Military & Outreach; Resource Management & Investment; Science & Technology; and WMD - Security Issues.
