Duty Description (brief, 4-5 sentences): This position is within the FBI's Global Intelligence Section (GIS), Global Intelligence Unit II (GIU II). GIS supports FBI and government-wide strategies, decision making and operations with high quality strategic intelligence predicated on cross programmatic and foreign intelligence information. The primary consumers for GIS production are FBI senior leadership, to include the FBI Director, Deputy Director and other FBI senior executives, as well as other senior USG policymakers and other IC agencies. In particular, GIU II focuses on the southern hemisphere, specifically the Americas; Africa; and the Middle East Regions.

For this vacancy, candidates should demonstrate subject matter expertise on one or more countries in the Americas, preferably but not limited to Venezuela, Cuba, or Mexico. Candidates should have strong oral and written communication skills, to include experience writing strategic intelligence products consumed by all levels within the organization, from line level to senior leadership (including PDBs). Candidates should be able to effectively partner with key customers to include FBI Headquarters operational divisions, field offices, overseas FBI Legal Attaches (LEGATs) and the IC to provide an integrated analytic assessment regarding cross-programmatic threats. Candidates should also demonstrate the ability to lead structured analytic techniques and adhere to Analytic Tradecraft Standards.
