- In the People and Society section, the "Languages" entry has been updated for dozens of countries.
- Posted Chiefs of State and Cabinet Members of Foreign Governments
with updated entries for Bosnia and Herzegovina; Cape Verde; Egypt; El Salvador; Ghana; India; Iraq; Malawi; Malaysia; Malta; Mauritius; Montenegro; Panama; Peru; Sao Tome and Principe; Solomon Islands; Syria; Tunisia; Turkmenistan; Uruguay; and Vanuatu. Changes reflect updates in leadership, positions, or the spelling of officials’ names in the country listings during the period July 18-31, 2012.
