Sue Gordon, the principal deputy director of national intelligence, said the intelligence community’s $600 million bet on cloud computing in 2013 has more than paid off.

The talent is out there — it is just not getting to the right places, Sue Gordon, principal deputy director of national intelligence, said Tuesday.

The Intelligence Community is at an inflection point and will have to “reimagine” how it embraces data and digital connectedness, the nation’s No. 2 intel official said during a June 4 speech. One of the government’s leaders in this transformation, Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence Sue Gordon said, may be the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.

The United States does not go to war in a vacuum, so neither should it transition to artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning technology without coalition partners, according to speakers in a panel discussion Wednesday at GEOINT 2019.
