I am pleased that President Trump has announced his intent to nominate Christopher Scolese to succeed Betty Sapp as the next director of the National Reconnaissance Office.

Today I was honored to officiate the retirement ceremony of Robert Cardillo after four years of distinguished leadership as the Director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and 35 years of federal service.

In preparation for the 2020 elections, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI); its National Counterintelligence and Security Center (NCSC) and Cyber Threat Intelligence Integration Center (CTIIC); along with the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), today held a classified election security workshop for state election officials from across the country. 

In public testimony today before the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, Director of National Intelligence Daniel R. Coats presented the Worldwide Threat Assessment of the U.S. Intelligence Community and outlined the most significant global security threats facing the nation.

Director of National Intelligence Daniel R. Coats unveiled the 2019 National Intelligence Strategy (NIS) today. The NIS is the guiding strategy for the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) and will drive the strategic direction for the Nation’s 17 IC elements for the next four years.
