On behalf of the entire Intelligence Community, I want to congratulate Matt Olsen on his Senate confirmation to be the next director of the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC).

Matt is a talented public servant whose extensive experience leading and managing intelligence and law enforcement activities will be invaluable to the Intelligence Community. 

I would also like to thank Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Dianne Feinstein and Vice Chairman Saxby Chambliss for their essential leadership during the confirmation process.

As Matt takes on his new role as NCTC director, he and his family will have the unwavering support of the entire Intelligence Community, and I look forward to working with him on the most vital of missions – protecting the homeland.
