Today—with a website relaunch and a redesigned seal—the ODNI’s National Counterintelligence and Security Center marked its one-year anniversary since officially becoming an ODNI center. In January 2014, in a speech at the Department of Justice to address domestic and international concerns regarding U.S. intelligence activities, President Obama announced that the Intelligence Community would end the NSA bulk telephony metadata program conducted under Section 215 of the USA PATRIOT Act.
Today the ODNI’s National Counterintelligence and Security Center released the National Counterintelligence Strategy of the United States of America 2016. The strategy, which was approved by President Obama, sets forth how the U.S. Government will identify and disrupt foreign intelligence entity threats.
