ODNI Welcomes Dr. Catherine Marsh as Director of IARPA
The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) welcomes Dr. Catherine Marsh as the director of the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA). She succeeds Dr. Stacey Dixon, who now serves as deputy director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.
Dr. Alan MacDougall Named National Counterproliferation Center Director
Dr. Alan MacDougall became the sixth director of the National Counterproliferation Center (NCPC) Nov. 5. He succeeds Annette Totten, who retired from public service after leading NCPC for nearly two years. MacDougall served as NCPC’s deputy director prior to the selection.

The Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA) within ODNI today announced the launch of the Better Extraction from Text Towards Enhanced Retrieval (BETTER) program. BETTER is a multi-year research effort that aims to develop a capability to provide personalized information extraction from text to an individual analyst across multiple languages and topics.
