Thank you very much. Chairman Peters, Ranking Member Portman, and Members of the Committee. Thank you very much for the opportunity to appear before you today to discuss the overall terrorism landscape.
Despite significant progress in diminishing the terrorist threat to the United States, the country continues to face a diversified transnational, and in many ways unpredictable threat environment at home and abroad. An array of actors, whether foreign terrorist organizations, state sponsors of terrorism, or lone actors are shaping the nature of today's threat.
