ICIG Supports International Fraud Awareness Week, Nov. 13

The Office of the Inspector General of the Intelligence Community (ICIG) joined a global effort to promote anti-fraud awareness and education November 11-17.  ICIG’s leadership and staff members, which included certified fraud examiners, provided prevention tips and reporting techniques during a workforce outreach event at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence headquarters building in McLean, Virginia.  The event was hosted in conjunction with International Fraud Awareness Week which is sponsored by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

The ICIG conducts independent and objective audits, investigations, inspections, and reviews to promote economy, efficiency, effectiveness, and integration across the Intelligence Community.  All of ICIG’s divisions are staffed with certified fraud examiners who apply specialized training to their respective areas of responsibility.
