The Inspector General of the Intelligence Community (ICIG) today released an Inspections and Evaluations report examining the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) programs of six Intelligence Community (IC) agencies.  FOIA programs receive and process requests from the public to access information from the federal government. The programs reviewed in the report are those of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), National Security Agency (NSA), and Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI).

It also evaluates ODNI’s role as an IC-integrator.  ICIG initiated the review after determining that ODNI Information Management Division raised IC FOIA program concerns to its senior governance forum.
