Comments on Principles and Framework: Artificial Intelligence Ethics For The Intelligence Community -- On July 23, the Intelligence Community (IC) released the Principles of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Ethics for the Intelligence Community and the related Artificial Intelligence Ethics Framework for the Intelligence Community. The Principles and Framework guide the IC's ethical development and use of AI. The Intelligence Community plans to update the Framework as it continues to improve its processes, but also in response to the developments in the private sector and based on input from the public. Intelligence Science and Technology Partnership (In-STeP) -- Purposefully inclusive, the In-STeP program casts a broad net. If a given technology, research effort, or idea advances the state of the art with respect to IC interests, In-STeP wants to know about it, regardless of origin. Information exchange and key partnerships with the private sector, various research centers, and a diversity of other technology providers are vital to ensuring that the IC maintains access to world-class technology, as well as a strong posture against technological surprise. An essential component of that exchange is for partners to understand the IC’s often-unique S&T needs, so their research and development can be tailored toward fielding capabilities that ultimately solve intelligence challenges. Shaping Future Cyber Threat Analyses and Production – The National Intelligence Cyber Executive welcomes private sector feedback on cyber threat intelligence reports and briefings, particularly with regard to their accessibility, actionability, and timeliness. Regular feedback helps drive content improvement processes and provides ODNI with an improved understanding of victims and targets. - An IC enterprise agreement is not a guarantee but simply a vehicle used to place orders should an Element need original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specific software, serviecs, or appliances.
NCSC "Safeguarding Our Future" Bulletins – NCSC recently launched a new “Safeguarding Our Future” campaign in which it began disseminating unclassified bulletins -- each on a specific foreign intelligenec threat -- to help raise awareness among private industry, academia, and state & local governments.
