Alexa Henning
Alexa Henning serves as Chief of Staff to the Director of National Intelligence, where she oversees operations, strategy, and coordination of the DNI’s priorities throughout the Intelligence Community. Henning was raised in Dallas, Texas, and attended University of Missouri’s Journalism School, where she focused on international relations and strategic communication. After college, she moved to Washington, D.C. and started working in Congress for her home state senator, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX). She then joined his presidential campaign in 2015 and later joined President Trump’s first presidential campaign in New York. She went on to serve in the Trump White House for four years as a Special Assistant to the President and Director of Broadcast Media. Henning went on to serve as Deputy Chief of Staff for Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), as Communications Director for Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders (AR), and as Senior Vice President at P2 Public Affairs where she worked with many public and private sector clients, including on the confirmation team for DNI Gabbard.
