Senior leaders and officers from across the Intelligence Community discussed threats facing the U.S. and their priorities to address them during the Intelligence and National Security Summit held in Washington, D.C., Sept. 15-17.

 

This week ODNI celebrates National Coding Week by highlighting how coding enables the Intelligence Community’s mission and the impressive coders behind the technology. From the National Security Agency to the Defense Intelligence Agency to the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and beyond, the IC uses coding in a variety of ways.

 

Gina Ligon, the Director of the National Counterterrorism Innovation, Technology and Education Center, a Department of Homeland Security Center of Excellence for terrorism prevention and counterterrorism research, visited the National Counterterrorism Center highlighting the research center’s mission and growing diversity of skills and techniques available across the organization.

 

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence celebrated the 75th anniversary of the U.S Air Force with a symbolic cake cutting and ceremonial toast in McLean, Virginia, Sept. 16.

 

Lt. Gen. Jeffrey A. Kruse, the director’s advisor for military affairs, presided over the ceremony and provided remarks focusing on the legacy and future of the U.S. Air Force.

 

Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines spoke with high school students attending the National Student Leadership Conference on Intelligence and National Security at American University on Saturday, July 16. She spoke about the role of the Intelligence Community and how students can get involved in national security careers.

 

National Counterterrorism Center
