This report is prepared in accordance with Section 114 of the National Security Act of 1947, as amended by Section 324 of the Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2003. This report summarizes demographic data on the population of minorities, women, and persons with disabilities (PWD) employed within the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) during fiscal year (FY) 2016 (between October 1, 2016 and September 30, 2017).

Chairman Schiff, Ranking Member Nunes, and distinguished members of the Committee, thank you for the opportunity to discuss the Intelligence Community's (IC) assessment of the national seciruty implications of climate change.

The rapid growth in IT and its applications for Federal agencies has similarly expanded the roles of chief information officers, whose operations now extend to nearly every realm of agency activity.

Shaking Up the CIO Role

Literally and figuratively, IT departments have seen the light. They were once relegated to dark, out-of-the-way offices with a mission to preserve the status quo.
