Sara Lynn Colley

Sara Lynn Colley is the Assistant Director of National Intelligence for Legislative Affairs. In this role, she is responsible for coordinating legislative efforts and managing the relationship between the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the U.S. Congress.

Previously, Colley was the Deputy Assistant Secretary for House Affairs at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Prior to her service at DHS, she was the Communications Director for U.S. Representatives Scott Perry (PA-10) and Doug Lamborn (CO-5). In these capacities Colley managed all messaging efforts, providing guidance and counsel to Members of Congress on intelligence, defense, oversight, foreign affairs, emergency management, and national security matters.

Prior to this work on Capitol Hill, Colley spent six years in the Department of Defense and National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency in various public and legislative affairs roles focused on research, engineering, funding, management, and reform efforts within the executive branch. She was awarded the Medal for Exceptional Public Service during her time in the Office of the Secretary of Defense.

Prior to her work in the federal government, Colley worked in various public affairs and marketing capacities for the Georgia House of Representatives, nonprofits, and small businesses in Georgia. Colley received her B.S. in Communications from Kennesaw State University.
