Throughout the month of March, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence celebrated Women’s History Month through a series of curated events featuring Director of National Intelligence, Avril Haines, mentorship opportunities and social engagements.


WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Director of National Intelligence (DNI) is disclosing the aggregate amount of $67.1 billion in requested appropriations for the Fiscal Year 2023 National Intelligence Program (NIP).


WASHINGTON, D.C. – Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines today issued the following statement on the passing of former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright:


“We have lost an extraordinary leader of substance, style, and conviction with the passing of former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright. Her legacy lives on in the men and women she inspired and mentored over the years in national security and foreign policy, myself included. I hope we can do her justice. Her integrity, pragmatism, and intellect live on in the institutions she enriched throughout her lifetime of service in government, academia, and non-governmental organizations."


Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence Dr. Stacey Dixon discussed how the IC is addressing disinformation as part of the panel, “Disinformation: How Spies Can Help Find Truth,” at the annual South by Southwest conference in Austin, Texas on March 14, 2022.


WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA), the research and development arm of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, announced today the Biometric Recognition & Identification at Altitude and Range (BRIAR) program — a multi-year research effort to develop new software systems capable of performing whole-body biometric identification from great heights and long ranges.
