Press Releases 2018

The Director of National Intelligence and the Under Secretary of Defense Intelligence congratulate Rear Admiral Robert D. Sharp on his selection for promotion to Vice Admiral and his confirmation as the Director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.

Today I submitted the Intelligence Community’s report on foreign interference in the 2018 midterm elections to the President and appropriate executive departments and agencies, as directed by Section 1(a) of the Executive Order 13848, Imposing Certain Sanctions in the Event of Foreign Interference in a United States Election.

For the 10th consecutive year, Intelligence Community employee job satisfaction ranks the IC as one of the “Best Places to Work in the Federal Government,” marking a decade of excellence for the Community.

I was deeply saddened to learn the news that General Mattis will resign from his post as Secretary of Defense at the end of February.

President Bush lived a life of service to the country he loved, and he did so with gratitude, optimism, and dignity. He was and remains widely beloved by the women and men of the Intelligence Community and there is no better reflection of his enduring legacy within the IC than CIA headquarters, where he served as Director and which was renamed the George Bush Center for Intelligence.
