Press Releases 2019

Officers from across the Intelligence Community (IC) gathered last Thursday in Bethesda, Maryland, for the eighth annual IC Pride Summit, hosted this year by the Office of Director of National Intelligence.

Much like we have with other investigations and reviews, the Intelligence Community (IC) will provide the Department of Justice all of the appropriate information for its review of intelligence activities related to Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

Today, consistent with the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 (FISA), as amended (codified in 50 U.S.C. § 1873(b)), and the Intelligence Community’s (IC) Principles of Intelligence Transparency, we are releasing our sixth annual Statistical Transparency Report Regarding Use of National Security Authorities presenting statistics on how often the government uses certain national security authorities.

WASHINGTON – Today the Intelligence Community has published, via Intelligence.gov, a third and final installment of declassified documents relating to the IC’s role in the Vietnam War’s Tet Offensive, highlighting material from the Central Intelligence Agency, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, Defense Intelligence Agency and National Security Agency.

Senator Richard Lugar was a true statesman whose decency and commitment to public service represented the very best of our state of Indiana and the nation.
